It's been ages since I last seriously drew a dragon. Twas fun. It's also been a while since I last drew the lot of us together. Plus, I've been doing too much digital art lately, so using watercolors again felt really good. There's just something irreplaceable about having an original and dealing with the randomness of real paint. You don't get that with digital work. It's kind of sad. Of course, this picture didn't come without its fair share of computer work. This was one of the most annoying color-correction jobs I've ever done. Everything was purple and green when I scanned it. So I ended up having to lasso off specific characters and balance the colors separately. Tedious, yes, but I'm happy with the result. It actually looks like the original now.
